Scout shows only what you see: the lobby's players (they're on the loading screen), your score and the minimap. An enemy in the fog is gone for Scout too. Scout writes nothing to the game's memory and doesn't inject into it; it only reads. The shop tab goes in as an ordinary game mod. Statlocker Companion and other companions work the same way.

No. Scout is an independent project. Deadlock is a trademark of Valve Corporation.

So your player ratings, builds and history are with you on any computer, and a subscription can't be handed out to friends.

You type your password only on Steam's own page. Steam gives us just your public Steam ID: no password and no access to the account.

An account works on one computer at a time: signing in on a second one signs the first out.

Your e-mail (if you sign in with it), Steam ID, plan, the ratings, builds and match history you sync, and a log of sign-ins to protect the account. You can delete all of it in your account.

Yes: 10 days of Pro for a new Steam account, 14 if a friend invited you. Trials start when sales open.

No: a subscription belongs to one Steam account, and Scout runs on one computer at a time. Invite your friend with your link and they get a longer trial.
